[Mister Showman had all the candles lit and he sat crosslegged in the centre of the circle they made. He closed his eyes and focused on nothing. He willed his consciousness out into the aether. He followed the energy from a million crackling television screens to one tiny source. A young lady.]

[He stood before Cait, or did he?]

Alright, you got my attention.

[He spoke like he was standing in front of her but his voice echoed faintly in her mind.]

I'm listening.

[The woman intercepts Showman before he can breach her inner mind. She hadn't been expecting a 'visitor' but that didn't mean she would be caught unawares. Caitlin gives him an appraising look before placing a finger on her chin curiously]

What are you here for? Are you worried? You shouldn't be. You're already all complete so you haven't anything to be concerned about sir.

[He tilted his head in curiosity. Probably Cait could feel the two entities that make up Mr. Showman brush up against eachother, one seemingly knowing more than the other.]

Complete?

[He strokes his beard and his long black cloak seems to move as it it was a living thing.]

And others are not? Why do you want to complete them? What purpose does it serve?

Purpose? Why, to promote inner harmony of course. The ones left behind look so empty and lonely with only half a soul. The Doctor says they're ill and will suffer and waste away if we don't complete them soon.

[Smiles as she speaks of him. It's the smile of the most loyal right hand of the most charismatic cult leaders. Complete in her trust of everything this Doctor tells her]

[He knows that smile, he had seen it in his lifetime. He doesn't like it when it's not dedicated to him.]

[He steps closer to her, standing close, looking down at her, looming, his cloak slithering into her personal space like serpents, but he doesn't touch her.]

And how harmonious do you feel, inside, my fair child?

[with barely a frown the woman pushes him back, out of the zone of discomfort. There is an invisible wall of power around her and she extends it to keep him from getting too confident]

I feel quite blissful thank you very much. She raises an eyebrow. And you're a little too bold.

[He allows himself to be pushed away. He feels cold and hard to the touch]
Fortune favours the bold. But I can tell you with certainty, girl, that I am not blissful or at peace within myself. Perhaps your doctor has it wrong, hmm?

Oh no he's definitely right. You should know though that we didn't have anything to do with your current state. That's something you chose yourselves.

[He gives her a side-glance, a strange glint resides in his eye.]
I assume you speak of this bliss from experience. So I find myself wondering...who were you before you became who you are now?

I really can't recall. I mean, my memories of that time are like a dream. Strange and surreal. That's how dreams are aren't they? You're looking at some stranger that is somehow you but also not you. That's what being separate is like too. Once you've become whole and recovered your memories it seems ridiculous to think about being two people again.

[As he listens to Cait, he paces, indulging in a thoughtful twirl of his cane.]

One would think, my lovely red head, that I of all people would encourage your little project.

[He stops, slams a foot down]

But I can't. [He then pivots to face her, pointing the butt of his cane at her nose.]

YOU...Force these things upon unwitting people. You're method is like a swarm of locusts and the people stuck in the cloud are consumed, mashed around, than shit out and left as an amorphous pile with no semblance of who they really are.

[He tapped his chest with his cane.]

I at least give the children a choice when I present them with the opportunity to 'be all that they can be'.

You're awfully self righteous aren't you? [As she speaks, her body seems to shift, growing taller and larger as she gathers her psionic power around her. It's clear that she won't tolerate his presence in her personal mindscape much longer.]

While you toy with people for your own amusement. I am helping the world in a way you do not and cannot understand. And I will thank you to begone from my sight before I decide to do something unladylike.

[He lowers his head and stares at her from the shadows of his brow, the dark marks around his eyes making his gaze more peircing.]

Everyone is always given a choice in any situation. True they're not always pleasant choices. For example I could tell someone they can co-operate as I hold knife to their throat while I take what I want, or they can choose to fight back.

I can chose to slit a throat, or I could choose just to knock them out.

Choices have consequences, but at least there are choices. That's the difference between what we do.

[He watcher her grow and he smirked dryly.]

Those are the words I leave you with. I'll go. And that's my choice.
[He faded, like mist, from before her eyes. It was a slow process, almost playful, allowing her to get in any final words if she wanted.]

[seemingly unamused by his slow departure, Caitlin uses a bit of psionic power to push him out of her space more quickly. Grateful to have him gone so she could return to the task at hand.]
